BRADFORD PLANNING BOARD
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING AMENDMENTS
Notice is hereby given in accordance with RSA 675:7 that the Bradford Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 13, 2025, at a meeting beginning at 7:00 PM at the Bradford Town Office, 134 East Main Street, Bradford, NH, 03221 on proposed revisions to the Bradford Zoning Ordinance. The revisions were prepared by the Planning Board and the effect of the proposed amendments would be to:
1. To revise Article II, Definitions in the following manner: a. Revise the existing definition of Frontage as follows:
Frontage: The length of a lot bordering on an accepted public road or on a proposed street on a subdivision plat approved by the Planning Board. The width of a lot measured along its common boundary with the street line.
b. Add a new definition, as follows:
Frontage, Principal: The side of the lot that abuts the street that generally functions as the primary orientation of residences, businesses, or other uses along the block. When a lot abuts more than one street, the principal frontage is situated along the street that carries the greatest volume of pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
c. Add a new definition, as follows:
Street: A public right-of-way which the Town or state has the duty to maintain regularly or a right-of-way shown on a subdivision plat approved by the Planning Board and recorded with the County Registry of Deeds which provides the principal means of access to abutting property.
d. To renumber definition list accordingly.
2. Add a new Section Q to Article III as follows: Any alterations or improvements made to a Town road, must first receive approval by the Road Agent.
