PSA - Saturday, June 27th Traffic flow impacts

Dear Bradford Resident,

            On Saturday June 27, 2026 the Town of Bradford will be holding its 250th Independence Day Celebration.  In the event of inclement weather, a rain date has been set for June 28, 2026.  Throughout the day’s events, there will be multiple times in which the traffic flow will be impacted, specifically on East Main Street, West Main Street and Old Warner Road.  More details are below.

The day’s events consist of

Old Warner Road – At 2pm, the parade will lineup on one side of the roadway (the right side when going from the school to Route 114).  This lineup will be in place until the parade starts at 3pm.  In this window of 2-3:30 pm, we ask that if you live on Old Warner Road and you need to leave in a vehicle, that you travel in the direction of Route 103.  No traffic will be allowed toward Route 114 as the roadway will be condensed to one lane.

East Main Street – East Main Street will be closed from #150 East Main Street to Route 114 starting at 2pm until the conclusion of the fireworks.  No traffic will be allowed within the closure.  If you need to travel, we ask that you plan accordingly.  If you live within the road closure and plan to leave, you may want to move your vehicle to another parking area outside the closure so that you are not locked in. 

West Main Street – At the start of the road race at 9am, no thru traffic will be allowed from Route 103 and the Fairgrounds Road end until the majority of the runners are off that section of roadway.  We anticipate this modification to be in place till around 930.  At the start of the parade at 3pm, no thru traffic will be allowed down West Main Street from either end until the conclusion of the parade which should be around 3:45pm.

We are excited for the Town to host such a big event for the 250th and just want to ensure that if anyone is planning to have a gathering that you are aware of the potential modifications and can plan accordingly.
