PSA - Cooling Station during Extreme Heat

June 30, 2026

The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for Merrimack County, with dangerously high temperatures and humidity expected over the next couple of days. These conditions can pose serious health risks, especially to vulnerable individuals such as children, older adults, and those with medical conditions.

To help our community stay safe and cool, the Bradford Area Community Center is open to the public as a cooling station. If you or someone you know needs relief from the heat, please stop by.

  • Location: 134 East Main St, Bradford NH
  • Open Hours: 8 am to 7 pm
  • Question can be directed to the Selectmen’s Office at 938-5900 or Bradford Fire Department at 938-2231. As well as the Bradford Police Department at 938-2522.

Stay hydrated, avoid strenuous outdoor activity, and check on your neighbors—especially those who may need extra help during this heatwave.
